Guisi Lighthouse : The Amazing Ruins in Guimaras

Guisi Lighthouse is one of the main attractions in the province of Guimaras. It is the second oldest lighthouse in the Philippines (next to Cape Engano Lighthouse in Palui Island, Cagayan). This 18th century Spanish-colonial lighthouse is just beside the beach and 40-minute away from the Jordan port.

Located in the town of Nueva Valencia, Guisi Lighthouse will bring you in the past. You can find here an old damaged walls, a rusty lighthouse and a new solar-powered lighthouse. There's another lighthouse which can be found behind the ruins.

I enjoyed the stunning views of Guisi Beach, Guimaras Strait and some amazing rock formation. I recommend to put this destination on your afternoon itinerary. Around 5PM to 6PM is the perfect time to take photos and videos while looking the beautiful sunset.

The path leading to the entrance to the lighthouse is strewn with local vendors selling souvenir items t-shirts, ref magnets, coin purses, and a lot more. There are also stores also selling ice candy, mango flavored.

Guisi Lighthouse is great place for pre nup & other photo shoots. Thia place is truly a instragrammable spot.

Ho To Ge There

Guisi Lighthouse is located in Barangay Dolores in the town of Nueva Valencia.  You can hire a tricycle for P150-P200.
