Situated centrally in the Cordilleras, Mountain Province has impressive natural structures- rivers, waterfalls, mountains, and caves. Bontoc and Sagada are famous towns in the province featuring some of the well-known tourist spots in the Philippines.

Maligcong Rice Terraces

Maligcong Rice Terraces is like the Banaue Rice Terraces and Batad Rice Tearraces in Ifugao. It's a man-made stone-walled rice terrace. The best time to visit Maligcong Rice Terraces is around March to May.

If you are into hiking, visit Mt. Kofafey. It's one of the famous mountains in Mt. Province. From the summit, expect a breathtaking view of several rice terraces. It's also a great spot to watch the sunrise and sunset. The trails are easy and perfect for newbie hikers.

Mt Fato

Another great mountain to visit in the province is Mt Fato. It's close to Mt. Kofafey, less than two hours from the summit of Mt. Kofafey. It features several sharp, pointed rock formations with a perfect view of Maligcong Village.

Sumaguing Cave

Sumaguing Cave, or the Big Cave, is filled with beautiful rock formations and natural pools. There is a concrete staircase leading to the entrance of the cave. Please bring a flashlight or headlamp because it's really dark inside.

The Hanging Coffins

The hanging coffins is a famous tourist attraction in Sagada. It's located in the Echo Valley featuring hanging coffins scattered throughout the area. Seeing these hanging coffins in person truly speaks to the importance of culture and reflects the rich heritage of the locals.

Mt. Amuyao

Located in the quiet town of Barlig, Mt. Amuyao is one of the highest peaks in the Philippines. From the summit, it offers a panoramic view of the mountain ranges of Sagada, Bontoc, and Bauko, as well as the provinces of Kalinga, Apayao, and Ifugao.

Fowa-as Falls 

Fowa-as Falls is one of the popular waterfalls in the Mountain Province. Its name is from a local farmer named Fuwaas. It's more than 75 meters where waters cascade down to the deep basin.
