Almont Inland Resort : Your Home In Butuan

Maybe some of you are not familiar with Butuan City. Even me, I don't know what to see and what to do in the city. I know it is the home of the famous Balangay (formerly synonymous with Butuan boat), but other than that, I have no idea with Butuan City. So I decided to stay in the resort and to enjoy its amenities and facilities.

Before going to Siargao, I stayed for a day in Butuan City. I got an air-conditioned room in a beautiful resort just a few steps from Gaisano Mall. It's a 10-minute ride away from the airport and very accessible to shopping malls, bus/jeep terminals and recreational establishments. Let me introduce Almont Inland Resort.

Upon entering the resort, I was welcomed with their accommodating and friendly staff. I noticed first its cozy restaurant named Manay Maling Restaurant. It's surrounded with rattan tables and chairs and some white curtains in some corners. On the right side is Gemelli Pizza Bar where you can buy Italain Pizza and wide range of snack items. The Magallanes Bar is the place where you can buy refreshing juices and alcoholic beverages.

My room is just across a small lagoon. It features two big beds with comfy blanket and pillows, flat screen TV, refrigerator, table, chairs, and wooden cabinet. The bathroom has shower facility, a spray bidet, fresh towels and complimentary toiletries. WIFI is not only available in my room, it's throughout the resort.

The resort has lots of rooms. From Executive Suite, Junior Suite to Deluxe Room, there's a right room for you that fits to your need and budget. I recommend to choose the Deluxe Room. It offers a quaint and cozy feel that is almost like living close to nature. The room balcony offers the best scenery to the lotus garden.

Let's talk about the resort's restaurant and its food. During my stay, I experienced the Manay Maling's themed buffet. It's the "Dayaw Dabaw, Davao's City's traditional cuisines. This buffet is available only every Thursday. I love all the food that night. My favorite was the Tuna Pak Fry. The fish was fresh and it was really good!

Aside from Dayaw Dabaw, other themed buffet dinners include, Ato Ini (Monday), Kumbra (Tuesday) , Naimas Ilocos (Wednesday), Barrio Fiesta (Friday), Pamangan (Saturday) and Seafood (Sunday). Buffet is at P500 and starts at 6PM.

Even if you don't book a room, you can still enter the resort and pay the necessary fee. Day tour is allowed and using of swimming pool is free of charge. If you avail buffet, you can use the swimming pool without extra charge.

Looking for a venue for special events?  Almont Inland Resort has 12-indoor and open air banquet venues and suitable for conventions, seminars, and special occasions. Thematic kiddie events, weekend gatherings, summer group outings, birthdays and weddings fit perfectly in their poolside venue.

Other things to do inside  the resort include playing basketball, playing darts and billiards and join with your kids at the kiddie play area. Zumba Session is also available, from Monday to Friday at 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Overall, Almont Inland Resort is truly a nice place. From cozy room, beautiful swimming pool, accommodating staff to mouth-watering Filipino dishes, every moment comes with quality guarantee. It's highly recommended! Thank you Almont Inland Resort  for the warm welcome and great experience.
