The Cave Pool in Vinapor Blue Water Resort

Have you seen a swimming pool inside a cave? There's a unique spot in the quite town of Carmen in Agusan del Norte that features a man-made pool inside a cave. Let me introduce the Vinapor Cave Pool.

The cave pool is inside the Blue Water Beach Resort or more known locally as Jurassic Beach Resort. It is nestled along the coastal cliffs of Barangay Vinapor, less than two hours drive from Butuan City and three hours and thirty minutes drive from Cagayan de Oro City. The landmark going to the resort is Tagcatong Elementary School where you can ride habal-habal or tricycle. No need for a reservation, walk-in and day tour are allowed.

The Vinapor Cave Pool is the main attraction of the resort. There's an entrance fee of Php100 aside from the Php35 fee to enter the resort. The cave is small which can accommodate around 10 pax. The water is chlorinated and it is about 3 feet deep. There are available cemented chairs where you can put your belongings. Shower area and comfort room are outside the cave pool. Be careful walking on floors because tiles are a bit slippery.

I'm very lucky because I'm the only guest that day. I spent an hour and took a lot of pictures and videos. The whole area is glowing with vibrant blue because of the blue roof covering cave. The place is truly instagrammable. It's advisable to go here during weekdays and off season. Expect a crowd and long lines during weekends and summer season.

Aside from the cave pool, the resort also features an outdoor swimming pool and room cottages with a magnificent view of the open sea. You can also find several figures of dinosaurs and other animals scattered all over its area. The waters on the shores are crystal clear perfect for swimming, snorkeling and cliff diving. You would surely enjoy the serenity of the place.
