Upon looking for a place to eat, we accidentally found Charlie's Hangar Surf Hostel in Urbiztondo, San Juan. It caught us our intention because of its giant airplane. Yes, there's a big aircraft in front of the hostel. According to the receptionist, it's under renovation and they are planning to make this airplane as a resto bar. Taking photos here is absolutely for FREE.
Charlie's Hangar Surf Hostel is the newest 1950s aviation-inspired hostel in San Juan, La Union. It is 1 to 2 minutes walk to the secluded beach and about the 3-5 minutes walk from the surfing center of Elyu's Urbiztondo Beach. It is also close to restaurants, bars and coffee shops. If you want take a rest after dipping into water or riding on the waves, you can take a rest in their cottages and wooden benches where you can enjoy the amazing view of the beach.
I didn't stay here, yet. Probably on our next visit in La Union! According to some of my followers, the hostel offers affordable air-conditioned dormitory-style room. Each room has clean and cozy beds with personal lockers, charging ports and a curtain for privacy. The dorm is very modernized and staff always maintain the cleanliness of each room.
