Travel Requirements for Filipinos Going to Bali, Indonesia (2025 Guide)

Are you planning to visit Bali, Indonesia soon?  Whether it’s your first time or a comeback trip, it’s important to know the latest travel requirements for Filipino travelers. Here’s a complete and updated guide for 2025 to make sure your Bali vacation goes smoothly — from passport validity, eTravel forms, and the new All Indonesia arrival registration, to the Bali Tourist Levy that’s now mandatory for all international visitors.

1. Valid Passport – At Least 6 Months Before Expiry

Before booking your ticket, make sure your Philippine passport is valid for at least 6 months from your travel date.

For example, if you plan to fly in May 2025, your passport should be valid until November 2025 or later. Immigration officers will not allow you to board if your passport is close to expiring — so always double-check!

2. Round-Trip Ticket & Accommodation Booking

Always prepare a return or onward ticket. Indonesian immigration officers may ask for this to ensure that you will exit the country within your visa-free stay period (up to 30 days for Filipinos).

Immigration officers (both in the Philippines and Indonesia) often ask for proof that you’ll return to the Philippines after your trip.

3. eTravel Registration (Philippine Departure & Arrival)

Before leaving the Philippines, all travelers are required to fill out the eTravel form online.

You can do this within 72 hours before your flight through https://etravel.gov.ph. You can also dowload the app through App Store or Playstore for FREE.

You’ll also need to fill out the same form again before arriving back in the Philippines. Once done, you’ll get a QR code — save it on your phone or take a screenshot for easy scanning at the airport.

4. Philippine Travel Tax

All Filipino travelers must pay the Travel Tax before departure.

You can pay it online through the airline website through https://tieza.gov.ph/ or the TIEZA Travel Tax Portal

Or you can pay at the airport counter before check-in. The regular rate for adults is ₱1,620.

5. Register at “All Indonesia” – Arrival Registration for Immigration, Customs & Health

This is one of the newest requirements for all travelers arriving in Indonesia, including those visiting Bali.

Before your arrival, register through the All Indonesia website or download the app from:

 1. Google Play Store

2.  Apple App Store

This registration covers:

Immigration Declaration

Customs Declaration

Health Quarantine Information

After registration, you’ll receive a QR code that you must present upon arrival. It speeds up your entry process so you can head straight to enjoy your Bali vacation!

6. Pay the Bali Tourist Levy – USD $10 (Mandatory)

Starting 2024, Bali has implemented a Tourist Levy Fee of USD $10  for all international tourists.

You can pay this online before arrival via the Love Bali website or app.

Tip: Pay it in advance and keep your proof of payment handy. Airport staff or officers might ask for it during arrival checks.

7. Hotel Booking & Itinerary – Just in Case!

It’s always a good idea to have your hotel booking confirmation and itinerary printed or saved on your phone.

Indonesian immigration officers may ask:

“Where will you stay?”

“How many days are you staying?”

“Do you have a return ticket?”

Answer confidently and show your confirmed details. It helps build trust and makes your arrival process quick and easy.

Where to stay in Bali

If you’re traveling to Bali on a budget, I highly recommend looking for accommodations in the Legian and Kuta areas. These locations offer a wide range of affordable hotels compared to the more upscale areas like Seminyak, Canggu, or Ubud. Aside from the lower prices, Legian and Kuta are also conveniently located near the beach, shopping streets, restaurants, and nightlife spots—perfect for travelers who want both comfort and value.

During my stay, I tried a few great options: Anathera Kuta, Legian Paradiso Hotel, and Bliss Surfer Legian. All of them offer cozy rooms, friendly staff, and a relaxing atmosphere that’s ideal after a day of exploring Bali.

For booking, you can easily find these hotels on Klook and use the promo code PINOYTRAVELKLOOK to enjoy a discount. You can also check Agoda, where you can use the code ENJOYTRAVEL for additional savings.

Where to go in Bali and Nusa Penida ( Places to visit in Bali )

If you’re planning to explore Bali and Nusa Penida, there are several great options for booking your tours depending on your budget and travel style.

One of the most convenient ways is through Klook, where you can easily find various Bali and Nusa Penida tours—from island hopping and snorkeling to temple visits and waterfall adventures. Don’t forget to use the promo code PINOYTRAVELKLOOK to enjoy a special discount on your booking. You can check HERE this list of tours.

Another option is to book directly with local tour operators. This can be more flexible, especially if you want to customize your itinerary. I personally arranged some of my Bali tours through Putera, a trusted local guide who can tailor your trip according to your preferred destinations and schedule. You can contact him via WhatsApp at +62 813 3737 4334 to discuss your travel plans or request a personalized quote.

If you’re planning to head straight to Nusa Penida and stay overnight or for a few days, I recommend reaching out to Budi, who organizes local tours and accommodations on the island. You can contact him on WhatsApp at +62 853 3743 0481 for more details.

Some of my tours were also booked through KLOOK, especially those that included transportation and entrance fees—it’s hassle-free and great for first-time travelers.

💡 Travel Tip: Always confirm tour inclusions such as pickup time, entrance fees, and meals before booking. Whether you choose an online platform or a local operator, both options can give you an unforgettable Bali experience!

Traveling to Bali is now more convenient and organized, thanks to digital processes like eTravel and All Indonesia. Just make sure you complete all your registrations and payments before flying out to avoid any delays at immigration.
