Explore Taiwan with NTD 5,000 Travel Vouchers for International Free Independent Travelers (FIT)

Are you planning to visit Taiwan soon? Then you're in luck! The Taiwan government has announced that they will be providing NTD 5,000 travel vouchers starting May 1, 2023, to international independent travelers (non-ROC passports). This is a great opportunity for foreign visitors to explore the beautiful island of Taiwan and experience its culture and cuisine.

The travel voucher initiative is part of the Taiwan government's efforts to boost the country's tourism industry, which has been severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The vouchers can be used for a wide range of travel-related expenses, such as accommodations, transportation, and tourism activities. To be eligible for the voucher, non-Taiwan passport holders must stay in Taiwan for 3-90 days, are not members of tour groups, and are not applying for any group-related Taiwan travel incentives.

Here's how you can apply for the NTD 5,000 travel voucher:

Step 1: Visit the official website of the Taiwan Tourism Bureau (https://eng.taiwan.net.tw/) and click on the "Independent tour" section and click Register now.  Fill out the application form with your personal information, passport details, flight number, dates of arrival/ departure and email address. Once your registration is successful, the system will automatically send a lucky draw QR code to your registered e-mail. Register at least 1 to 7 days before your scheduled arrival date in Taiwan.

Step  2: Try your luck and draw at the arrivals hall of airports in Taiwan. Use the QR Code obtained during event registration to participate in the lucky draw. Proceed to the event area of your airport’s arrival hall. You must complete your lucky draw within the airport arrival hall on the day you arrive in Taiwan.

Step 3: Receive your prize on the spot and enjoy your trip to Taiwan.  The type of prize you receive will be the same as you requested at the time of registration. This cannot be changed once it has been entered into the system. Prize redemption can only be completed on the day of arrival in Taiwan.

Reminder: Prizes will not be awarded to travelers who cannot provide the necessary documents for verification.

There are also incentives for group tours organized by tour operators and travel agencies. Such tour groups must have at least four members and stay in Taiwan at least three days and two nights. Incentive levels range from NT$5,000 to NT$50,000 per tour, depending on the number of tour group members and length of stay.

Campaign Period

The campaign starts with any flight from the scheduled flight arrival time in Taiwan at 12:00 noon on May 1, 2023 (registration will be open from 12:00 noon on April 28, 2023) to June 30, 2025. However, cards will not be issued once the quota issued for the year is exhausted.

Now, let's talk about how you can make the most of your travel voucher. There are plenty of things to see and do in Taiwan. It is a beautiful country with a rich cultural heritage and a diverse range of tourist attractions. Whether you are interested in exploring the bustling city streets of Taipei or soaking up the natural beauty of Taiwan's national parks, there is something for everyone.
