1. Chocolate Hills



Chocolate Hills is an iconic place and the most famous Bohol destination. It consists of unusually shaped hills stretched over 50 square kilometers of land across the towns of Bilar, Batuan, Carmen, Sagbayan, Sierra Bullones, and Valencia. There are more than 1,000 of these unique mound-shaped hills that look like Hershey's Chocolate Kisses. 



The best spot to witness the majestic view of this iconic destination is at Chocolate Hills Complex. It's situated along Barangay Buenos Aires in the humble town of Carmen, about 55km away from Tagbilaran City. The viewing deck provides an unobstructed 360-degree view of the Chocolate Hills as well as the beautiful towns of Bohol province. The other way to view the Chocolate Hills is at Sagbayan Peak, a mountain resort and recreational center in Sagbayan town.


2. Balicasag Island



If you love diving and snorkeling, Balicasag Island is the place to be. It's a prime Bohol diving and snorkeling spot because of its precious and beautiful marine life. The island features a long stretch of white sand beaches dotted with tropical trees. You will surely enjoy colorful reefs and fishes as well super adorable turtles that could swim along with you. 


3. Baclayon Church



One of the most historical places to visit in Bohol is the Baclayon Church. Known as the Church of Immaculada Concepcion, it is one of the oldest churches in the country and probably the most famous heritage site in the province. Founded in 1596, this Roman Catholic Church has been officially declared a ‘National Cultural Treasure’ that attracts thousands of tourists year-round.

Loboc River is one of Bohol’s most beautiful natural attractions. The river is surrounded by towering coconut trees. Part of the tour is the Loboc River Cruise tour, where tourists board a floating restaurant. The boat cruise will drift along the serene 1.5km long river while you feast on a Filipino lunch buffet. Aside from the Filipino lunch buffet, tourists will be entertained by the locals who will play musical instruments and perform traditional dances.


5. Hinagdanan Cave

It features a pool of clear water where you can swim under the stunning stalactites and stalagmites. Our guide shared that this cave was accidentally discovered by a farmer who built a ladder to access the cave. That's why they named it "hinagdanan" which means laddered in Cebuano. 


6. Philippine Tarsier and Wildlife Sanctuary




No trip to Bohol is complete without seeing the Philippine Tarsier and Wildlife Sanctuary. It is a large forest home to endangered tarsiers. This natural habitat of tarsiers allows tourists not just to see them up close, but also to learn more about them. Bohol tarsiers measure 4 to 5 inches and are considered the world's smallest primate. If you come to Bohol, you should not leave without seeing them.


8. Man-made Forest



If you are looking for Insta-worthy destination in Bohol, you should go to Man-made Forest. It is a 2-kilometer stretch of mahogany trees. The place is very relaxing and you can feel the fresh air around you. If you’re on your way to visit the Chocolate Hills from Loboc, you surely won’t miss it. Please be prepared to encounter crowds of people and constant traffic on the road that goes through the forest.


9. The Mirror of the World



You can experience the world without having to hop on a plane. Yes, you read it right! In The Mirror of the World, you can find scaled-down versions of some of the most famous landmarks in the world such as the Statue of Liberty in New York, the Eiffel tower in Paris, Christ the Redeemer in Rio De Janeiro, Merlion in Singapore, he Golden Gate Bridge of California and many more. The best time to enter the park is at 5PM when you can pay the daytime entrance fee and also see the amazing nighttime view of the Park.

11. Antequerra Weaving Community



Antequerra is well-known of its basket weaving industry. Most of the residents of Antequera depend upon the basket weaving industry. It is their main source of income. All weaving is done in the respective homes of the weavers. They are making baskets, bags, fashion accessories, home furnishings, wall decors, and furniture, which come in all shapes and sizes. 12.  Blood Compact Shrine




The Sandugo or Blood Compact Shrine monument found in Bo-ol district of Tagbilaran Cit marks the location where Datu Sikatuna, a native Chieftain, forged a blood compact with Spanish explorer Don Miguel Lopez de Legazpi. This Sikatuna-Legaspi blood compact is considered the First Treaty of Friendship between two different races, religions, cultures and civilizations. This tourist spot is a popular city attraction included in a Bohol day trip.

Part of Bohol's island tour is Virgin Island. It features a unique and picturesque sandbar and crystal clear water. Here you can find Isola di Francisco and you'll be greeted by a statue of St. Pio of Pietrelcina. You can also find here several local vendors who are selling fresh seafood.

It's an alfresco fresco offering organic food that's tastefully prepared. Don't miss dining at The Buzzz Ice Cream cafe. They offer unique flavors of ice cream like malunggay, coconut, tomato, and spicy ginger that are served on a cone made from dried cassava. It tasted really good!


How To Get To Bohol
