Glamping at Kalika Balayan for a Quick Weekend Getaway

If you want to take a break from your work and daily routine, the province of Batangas is the perfect getaway to chill and relax. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations near Metro Manila, boasting of beautiful resorts, historical landmarks, white sandd beaches and the famous Taal Volcano. And if you are looking for unique accommodation without sacrificing the luxury of a hotel experience, then Kalika Balayan is the right place for you.

Situated on a half-hectare property in the humble town of Balayan, Kalika Balayan is one of the resorts that you should try in Batangas. It features glamping tents for solo, couples and even big groups, perfect for barkada or family getaway. Each tent comes with a comfy queen-size bed, a fan, bedside lamp, a small wooden table, and power plugs.  You can upgrade and go for the Semi-Deluxe which comes with air-conditioning; or the Deluxe which has air conditioning and a mini jacuzzi. The premium tent that can accommodate 6 pax comes with air-conditioning, additional fans, and a mini jacuzzi.

The resort is pet friendly. Your lovely pets can go around in and out of your tent. It has also free parking space which is private and gated.

Each guest will get a complimentary breakfast. Kalika offers Filipino and Continental breakfast. For Filipino breakfast, they serve tapa, garlic rice and coffee. Conversely, Continental breakfast is composed of pancake, sausage and scrambled egg. They also offer dishes for lunch and dinner. I highly recommend Salmon Sinigang. It's super sarap!

You may bring snacks and drinks -ONLY to be consumed by the booked tent. No cooking and outside food/drinks are not allowed in public/ common space- main building/ swimming pool. Any special food request/ big gathering menu can be accommodated if informed in advance

The glamping resort has an outdoor swimming pool which is best enjoyed in summer. It's a great spot where guests of all ages can relax and have fun. The bathrooms are located a few steps away from the tents. It is composed of a shared outdoor sink area, toilet, and outdoor shower. Shampoo, conditioner, liquid soap and blower are available in the shared bathrooms.

The common space is composed of a ground floor and terrace equipped with tables, rattan chairs, and sofas. You can enjoy here board games: card decks, monopoly, uno, jenga, chest, domino, scrabble, cluedo, catan and many more. This spot is a great venue to view the spectacular sunset.

What I like about this resort, it is surrounded by several trees and plants with a magnificent view of Mount Dalig. It's nice to wake up in the morning and feel the good vibe of nature. The greeneries around the property are very relaxing.
