Well, summer is just around the corner and I'm pretty sure that some of you want to go out of town, dive into the crystal clear waters and sit down on the fine white sands. I know we are itching to do all of these. One of the best beach destinations in Philippines to visit this summer is Boracay. This beautiful tropical island is now ready to accept domestic tourists.
If you are planning to visit Boracay, you need to provide a negative swab test result and a confirmed hotel booking, the two important travel requirements that you need to present to enter the island. Secure a Negative RT-PCR Test Result from a DOH accredited laboratory or a Negative Saliva Test Result from Philippine Red Cross, taken within 48- 72 hours before the flight/sea travel from the time and date collected, and a confirmed hotel booking with DOT accredited accommodations.
On our Boracay trip, we stayed in Discovery Shores Boracay. It's a five-star resort located in the exclusive White Beach Station 1. The place offers powder-soft white sand, crystal clear waters, fiery sunsets, and sizzling nightlife. This resort is a great place for a staycation where you can bring your family and friends to escape from the stress of the bustling Metro.
Location
Discovery Shores Boracay is nestled in one of the most beautiful parts of the island. Station 1 of White Beach is the home to some of the top Boracay Hotels and Resort. The place has also the best and finest stretch of white sand on the entire island. Compared to Station 2, it's a quieter area with less crowd.
Upon entering our room, we're welcomed with cozy and huge space. We're booked in a Junior Suite on the second floor, furnished with two double-sized beds. The room offered an amazing view of the pool and the white beach. I'm overwhelmed by how the resort welcomes us. I saw some of my pictures in frames which I felt I'm at home.
The Junior Suite is ideal for solo travelers or couples. It comes with either two double-sized beds or one king-sized bed, depending on your requirements. The comfy bed is covered with fresh white bedding paired with soft pillows. The extra day bed for lounging is more than comfortable enough to accommodate a third occupant.
Other things in the room include 42 inch Smart Television, High Definition (HD) Cable Television, Mini Refrigerator, Nespresso Machine, Tea Amenities, Hair Dryer, Mini Refrigerator, and many more.
The bathroom is clean and spacious featuring a hot and cold shower and a toilet with a bidet. It comes with 100% Cotton Oversized Towels and complimentary toiletries.
Swimming Pool
Aside from the room, the swimming pool is the perfect place to chill and relax. It is located on the ground level, adjacent to the Sands Restaurant. It has beach lounge chairs where you can stay while reading your favorite book or drinking a refreshing drink. We're so lucky that we're only the guests in the pool so we enjoyed the place so much.
I must say that Sands Restaurant is the ideal setting to enjoy the ocean view. It also offers a magnificent Boracay sunset. We always enjoyed our food while looking at the powdery white sands, turquoise waters, and the lovely sunset. You can also take a spot by the bar as you sip on the drink of your choice. The beachfront bar offers a lot of alcoholic beverages and tropical juices. Breakfast starts from 7:00 am to 10: 00 am.
The Indigo Restaurant is another choice to eat. It was featured thrice in the Philippine Tatler’s Best Restaurants List and shortlisted for the 2010/2011 MIELE Guide to Asia’s Best Restaurants. Indigo serves a highly seasonal menu using only the finest ingredients available from the bounties of land and sea.

Discovery Shores Boracay features Terra Wellness Spa, Fitness Center, The Sandbox, 24- Hour In- Room Dining, Housekeeping Services, and Event place.
Signal
The resort offers a free high-speed WIFI. The connection is super fast. Any corner of the resort has good a signal. Both Smart and Globe are working fine on the property. So you don't need to worry if you still want to work while in the resort.
Overall Review
Overall, we enjoyed our stay in the hotel. The room was clean and spacious with comfy beds and pillows. Everything we need was in our room. The food and staff were awesome. We had truly a memorable stay in Discovery Shores Boracay. It's a highly recommended resort in Boracay.
