The Better Boracay

After Boracay closure and rehabilitation, this tropical paradise is now better and more beautiful. The long white coastline is clear and clean. Cabanas, beach beds, bean bags, wooden tables and chairs are removed near the shoreline. Smoking, drinking, eating, massage service, and hawking are  also prohibited in the beach area.

Boracay is blessed with powdery white sand beach, pristine seashore, turquoise waters, calm atmosphere and rich biodiversity. It has also 24/7 lifestyle culture and non-stop leisure activities. The island is truly a paradise which offers a never ending summer vibe and a beautiful natural landscapes.

This icoinic white beach will no longer be a party destination. Say goodbye to the wild and loud party, 'LaBoracay'. The government wants the island to become family-friendly island where everyone can relax and enjoy a quiet day in the white beach. No worries party goers, the are still resto bars and restaurants that play party music like the OM bar. You can drink and dance here all night.

There are still available water activities in Boracay like boating, parasailing, paddling, snorkeling and other fun outdoor activities. Boat tours are more organized. They also removed promotional ads on the crab claw sail of each vinta.

I'm not really sure on the number of tourists they  will allow in the island. The government announced that they will enforce it by controlling the number of available hotel rooms.  Walk in is not allowed. You need to make sure you have room reservation before flying to Boracay.  If you are looking for a great place to stay, I highly recommend Ferra Hotel and Garden Suites. It features cozy and comfy room, outdoor pool, restaurant  and free WiFi.

Koreans are still the number one (1) foreign visitors in the island. You can see them everywhere. I also noticed that there are lots of of new Korean food establishments, salons and spas along the main road.

Anyway, the best thing you can do for Boracay is to help keep the island clean. Pick some trashes along the beach, or throwing away your candy wrapper or any garbage at the right place. Always follow the Leave no trace principle. Be a responsible traveler. Enjoy Boracay!
