Best Things To Do In Baler

Baler is one of the best surfing destinations in the Philippines, a truly haven for surfers. The town is famous for its high waves making it the main tourist asset drawing surfing crowds from October to February. But Baler is not all about the endless surf of Sabang Beach, you can find here a lot of beautiful destinations and interesting activities.


Surfing

Sabang Beach is the most popular beach in the province of Aurora. It features a long stretch of sandy shoreline, shallow ocean bed and gigantic waves. There are several surf shops along the beach that offer surfing lesson and board rentals. Fee is P300 which includes surfing board and surfing lesson which will last for an hour.



Food Trip

The town of Baler has a lot of great places to eat., perfect for food tripping. You can go to Myrtle Park, Kubli Bistro, Chef Gerry’s Picnic Bay,Bike Kings Kitchen, Mumunsi Chocolate Cafe, Cobra Reef Resort, Yellow Fin Bar & Grill, Bay-ler View Restaurant, Boardwalk Restaurant, La Patricia Restaurant,The Port Tavern, and a lot of more. Some of these restaurants are beach front where you can enjoy the view of  the sea and some surfer enthusiasts playing their boards on top of the big waves.


Trekking

Trekking is not just an outdoor activity, it's a great adventure activity that provides a number of benefits; both physical and mental. Spending multiple hours on the trail, climbing around boulders, rock hopping and river crossing gives your whole body a workout. Do you agree? The best destination in Baler to trek is going to Ditumabo Mother Falls, which is one of  the famous water falls in the province of Aurora. It will only take around 30 minutes to 45 minutes to reach the waterfalls.



City Tour

Heritage and Museum tours are perfect for those who love arts and history. At the town proper, you can find some historical structures including Quezon Memorial Park, Museo De Baler, Maria Aurora House, and Baler Church.



Near the town proper, you can find one of the famous art museums in Aurora, the Vincent Gonzales Art Museum. It features the works of Baler-born artist Vincent Gonzales. The museum is open from Sunday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. (closed on Saturdays).



Cruising

Enjoy the scenic views of some beach coves in Baler through a boat ride. Seasta Beach Resort offers packaged tours including a boat a ride to see the Dicasalarin Cove, Baler Lighthouse, several rock formation and a lot more.


Beach and Water Sports

Aside from surfing, you can indulge into several water activities like swimming, diving, kayaking, boating and many more. One interesting activity to do in Baler is playing a golf in Joker’s Hideaway. It's a resort that features a swimming pool and mini golf area. The resort is open from Monday to Sunday. Nature Tripping

The old Balete Tree also known as Millenium Tree is one of the famous tourist attractions in Baler Aurora. It's estimated over 200 feet tall and around 600 years old. You can enter inside the tree and take pictures. You can also go to Diguisit Beach and  Aniao Islets where you can find stunning rock formations.The Hanging Bridge is also one of the best side trips in your Baler  Adventure.
