In my recent trip to Kota Kinabalu, I booked a Standard Room via ZEN Rooms. It is a budget-friendly room near KK Waterfront that provides decent facilities as well as great services.
Centrally located in Kota Kinabalu, ZEN Rooms is a perfect choice for budget conscious travellers who are looking for comfortable yet affordable room in KK. It's about 14 minutes drive from Kota Kinabalu International Airport and near to restaurants and shopping malls like Center Point Sabah, Star City Mall and Suria Sabah Shopping Mall.
My room comes with a queen-sized bed, air-con, hot and cold shower, flat screen tv with cable channels, and electric kettle. Zen Rooms provides free toiletries including liquid soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush and toothpaste. The room is not spacious yet it's clean and comfy. Room rates starts for as low as P1500 ($30).
The hotel offers FREE Wi-Fi, a parking space and 24-hour front desk. If you need assistance or question about the hotel or Kota Kinabalu, feel free to ask their friendly and accommodating staff.
ZEN Rooms Near KK Waterfront doesn't have swimming pool, gymnasium, event rooms and restaurant. It only offers purely accommodation.
A tourist tax of MYR 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted.
Overall, my experience at ZEN Rooms was pretty good. I had a quality stay and great sleep in the room. The staff are friendly and they are always willing to assist me. It's a nice accommodation, within a very good location and at a very good price.
