How to get to Mt. Pico de Loro in Cavite

Mountaineers and recreational outdoor enthusiasts are talking about the beauty of Mount Pico de Loro, also known as Mount Palay-Palay. It is one of the mountains in the Cavite that offers spectacular views from the summit. 



The major jump off point is located at Ternate, Cavite. Other jump-off  to the mountain is at the border of Maragondon and Nasugbu at Barangay Papaya, which is usually the traverse exit point.. Its summit shared among the boundary of both the province of Cavite and Batangas.

Travel time from Manila to Cavite will take around 2-3 hours depends on the traffic jam along the way. If you want to commute, take a bus bound to Ternate, Cavite. Bus terminals can be found in Pasay City or Coastal Mall. From Ternate Terminal in Sapang, Ternate, ake a tricycle to the DENR Station. The tricycle fare is around P80 per head. 

At the summit of Mt. Pico De Loro, you would see the 360-degree view to the whole protected landscape of the mountain. To its north is Manila Bay and Corregidor, and to the south are the remaining portions of the protected landscape which includes Mataas na Gulod, and Dos Picos as well as the far mountains of Nasugbu such as Mount Talamitam and Batulao. To the west is the Limbones Cove and the rest of the West Philippine Sea.
