Tasifest Music and Cultural Festival 2026 in Dili
One of the most anticipated cultural celebrations in the country, the Tasifest Music and Cultural Festival will take place on May 29–30, 2026 at Tasitolu.
The festival has grown significantly in recent years. The 2025 edition attracted more than 50,000 attendees, making it one of the largest music and cultural gatherings in Timor-Leste. The 2026 festival is expected to be even bigger, offering a dynamic mix of live music, cultural performances, sustainability initiatives, and creative arts.
This year’s lineup features internationally recognized artists including:
Iwan Fals – legendary Indonesian singer-songwriter
Calema – popular Afro-Portuguese musical duo from São Tomé and Príncipe
Rui Orlando – acclaimed Angolan singer
Guy Sebastian – winner of the first season of Australian Idol in 2003
In addition to international acts, several local musicians and DJs from Timor-Leste will perform, showcasing the country’s growing music scene.

Dili International Marathon 2026: Run for Nature
Another major event on the 2026 tourism calendar is the Dili International Marathon, officially scheduled for August 8, 2026.
The marathon was recently launched by José Ramos-Horta, the President of Timor-Leste, who serves as the patron of the event. The 2026 race carries the theme “Love Our Forests and Wildlife,” highlighting environmental protection and sustainability.

Aero Dili Expands International Flight Network
Improving accessibility to the country, Aero Dili recently announced the launch of two new international routes connecting Timor-Leste with major cities in Southeast Asia and Australia.
The airline will introduce:
Bi-weekly flights between Dili and Kuala Lumpur starting March 28, 2026
Bi-weekly flights between Dili and Darwin starting May 24, 2026
These new services will expand Aero Dili’s international network to six destinations, complementing its existing routes to:

Singapore
Xiamen
Fuzhou
