With Undas just around the corner, Cebu Pacific (CEB) is gearing up for the peak travel season by offering important tips to ensure a smooth journey for every Juan. As many prepare to travel during this busy time, here’s how to make your trip as seamless and stress-free as possible:
1. Double-Check Your Flight Details
Before heading to the airport, it’s crucial to confirm your flight details, especially the flight number and terminal assignment. Cebu Pacific has two types of flight numbers:
5J Flights: These are operated by Cebu Pacific’s larger commercial jets, departing from and arriving at NAIA Terminal 3.
DG Flights: Operated by Cebgo using smaller turboprop aircraft, currently utilizing NAIA Terminal 4. Starting November 7, 2024, all DG flights will shift to NAIA Terminal 2. Make sure to note this terminal change for any future travel plans.
2. Arrive at the Airport Early
With heavier traffic expected during the peak travel season, it’s wise to plan ahead. Passengers should arrive at least three hours before domestic flights and four hours before international flights. Those traveling to Dubai can check in as early as seven hours before departure.
Remember that check-in counters close 45 minutes before domestic flights and one hour before international flights. After checking in, proceed immediately through immigration and security to avoid delays. Boarding begins 45 minutes before departure.
3. Use Online Check-In
Avoid long queues at the airport by checking in online through the CEB mobile app or the Manage Booking section on the website. Online check-in is available from 48 hours up to one hour before domestic flights and up to four hours before international flights.
Passengers who have checked in online and do not have check-in luggage can enter NAIA Terminal 3 Gate 1 and proceed straight to the boarding gates by showing their digital boarding pass.
As of October 18, check-in counters at NAIA Terminal 3 have been relocated to Aisles A and B. Counters A1-A15 serve online check-in passengers, while counters A17-A29 and B1-B15 cater to those who haven’t checked in online.
4. Complete eTravel Forms Before Traveling
To avoid delays at the immigration counters, passengers on international flights should register or update their eTravel forms within 72 hours before departure and arrival in the Philippines. Make sure to save the QR code generated after completing the form.
For round-trip international flights, the eTravel form must be filled out twice—once before departing and again before returning. Additionally, complete the Customs Declaration Form before arrival.
The eTravel forms can be accessed at www.etravel.gov.ph.
5. Follow the Baggage Policy
To avoid extra charges, ensure that your carry-on luggage and personal item (such as a purse or laptop bag) do not exceed 7kg in total weight. Bags that are oversized or overweight will be subject to fees at the boarding gate.
For added convenience and savings, purchase prepaid baggage allowance online via the CEB website or mobile app, which is up to four times cheaper than airport fees. Cebu Pacific’s flexible baggage policy allows passengers to bring up to three pieces of 20kg baggage, with options to add 4kg, 8kg, or 12kg of additional weight for each piece.
6. Self-Tag Your Luggage for Select Domestic Flights
If you’re flying out of destinations like Bacolod, Cagayan de Oro, Clark, Davao, General Santos, Iloilo, Manila, Siargao, Tacloban, Tagbilaran, or Zamboanga, remember to self-tag your luggage at the designated kiosks before heading to the bag drop counters. Self-bag drop kiosks are also available at NAIA Terminal 3 and Clark International Airport.
