Manila to Batangas by Bus
One of the best and cheapest options to reach Batangas from Manila is by bus. You can go to the Alps bus terminal located in SM Megamall and Buendia (Near LRT Buendia or LRT Gil Puyat Station). There are also buses bound for Batangas waiting in Alabang, Cubao and PITX. Make sure to find the Batangas signboard on the bus, if none, ask the operator to confirm the bus route.
Most of the bus routes are SM Lipa, Batangas Grand Terminal and Batangas Pier / Port. In SM Lipa, you can find a lot of jeepneys traveling to different towns in Batangas such as Lipa, Balayan, San Juan, Lemery, Lian, Batangas City and more.
Manila to Batangas travel time is around 3 to 4 hours, depending on the traffic and the destination. The fare is around P250 to P300.

If you don't have a car, it’s a little challenging to get around Batangas because restaurants and tourist spots are distant from each other. There are no taxis or grab cars available. Public transportation is the way to go. The best option is to take a jeep or hire a tricycle to get to your destination.
