Let me introduce the Igorot Stone Kingdom, a new tourist destination in Baguio City that tells about Igorot folklore and showcases the locals' rock-laying skills.
Background of Igorot Stone Kingdom
Situated along Long-Long Road in Pinsao Proper Village, the Igorot Stone Kingdom covers a 6,000-square meter area, showcasing Igorot culture, practices and traditions as well as the life of the inhabitants of the Cordillera region. Each wall is constructed through Igorot stone laying, a skill passed on through generations. You can also find here Igorot folklore characters Bangan and Gatan, a small bridge, a fertility stone tower, an Igorot gold mine and many more. This new attraction is a few steps from Farmer’s Daughter and Tam-awan Village.
How To Get To The Igorot Stone Kingdom
The cheapest and easiest way to get to the Igorot Stone Kingdom is by jeepney. From the Central Business District, ride a jeep bound for Tacay-Longlong in Otek St. You may also ride a taxi from the city proper, which may cost you at least Php 100 to Php 150.
What To Do In The Igorot Stone Kingdom
Explore this new park as you enjoy each wall's beauty and the locals' creativity. Take a selfie or groupie! You will surely capture great photos and videos since the Igorot Stone Kingdom is beautiful from every angle. You can also dress in their traditional clothing as offered inside the tourist spot.
Entrance Fee
The entrance fee is Php 100 for adults and P80 for kids. Toddlers 3 years old and below can enter free of charge. Pets are also allowed inside the park.
Operating Hours
The park is open from 6 AM to 6 PM daily.
