Mt. Canumay | A New Hiking Destination in Antipolo City

Mount Canumay is a new hiking destination in the province of Rizal which will be opened soon to the public. Its jump off point is located at Purok Canumay, Sitio San Ysiro, Bragy San Jose, Antipolo City. According from Nomad Terra Crawlers, this mountain has elevation of 980 MASL with trail class of 1-5 and difficulty of 4/9.



Mt. Canumay is consider as a minor mountain destination which compared to Mt Balagbag and Mt Batolusong. The trail is combination of grasslands, bamboo, rattan and narra covered forest. You will encounter lots of tall cogon grasses and buho – a kind of bamboo. At the summit, enjoy the breath-taking view of Serra Madre Mountain Range, Metro Manila Skyline and Laguna Lake.



Overnight camping is allowed but it's a must to contact first the coordinator in Sitio Canumay. Water source is limited. Limatics are not visible in the area.





How To get to Mt Canumay /  Mt Biak na Bato

From Cubao (Gateway/ Puregold), take a jeepney going to Cogeo 2. Then, ride again a jeep going to Veterans. From there, take a tricycle going to Seedling.

From Seedling, you have an option to walk going toSitio Canumay ( 1 and 1/2 hour walk) or ride a habal-habal (P150).

  • Registration Fee- P60

Travel Guide / Tips 
  • Expect rough and muddy road /trail
  • Trail is muddy during rainy season
  • It's advisable to wear sandals/shoes
  • It's advisable to wear leggings/ rashguard
  • Bring enough water and trail food
  • Bring sunblock or travel essentials that will protect you from the direct heat of the sun
