Minalungao National Park is easy to reach. The park is located at Brgy. Minalungao, Gen. Tinio, Nueva Ecija. Travel time from Manila to park is more than 3 hours.
Itinerary to Minalungao National Park
5: 00AM – ETD of Five Star bus bound to Gapan (Bucana). The bus terminal is located in Cubao, Quezon City. Fare is 150Php. Travel time is around 2 - 3 hours.
7:30:00AM – ETA in Gapan, rent a tricycle going to Minalungao National Park for round trip for Php600-Php700. The tric will pass through the municipality of General Tinio popularly known as Papaya. Travel time is more than an hour.
9:005M – ETA at the Minalungao National Park
Upon entering the park, pay P40/person for the registration and P35 for the entrance of tricycle and / or car. Hire a local guide which usually kids aged from 8-12 years old. Give any amount of tip.
If you are in a big group and want to eat your food or pack lunch, the park offers cottages. Rental is from Php200 to Php300. There are also stores available in the area that selling food.
Floating cottage is also available in the river which rate varies depends on the season ranging from 800php – 1500Php which is good for 8 – 10 pax.
Wear any comfortable clothes. It's advisable to wear closed shoes or rubber shoes or trekking shoes to protect your feet from sharp limestone along the trail and inside cave.
Aside from swimming and trekking, there's also a zipline which for only Php100.
If you're in a budget trip, it's advisable to join to an outdoor group or perhaps invite your friends to come with you.
