The Manor at Camp John Hay : The Best Premier Hotel in Baguio

Whether it’s summer or rainy season, Baguio is one of my favorite destinations in the Philippines that I frequently visited. Not only the good weather, it also offers a lot of beautiful destinations and delectable dishes.

Recently, The Manor Hotel, one of the premier hotels in Camp John Hay, invited me to join their especial occassion called Triple Treat : A Symphony of Comfort and Luxury, Incredible View and and Service Excellence. This event aims to promote The Manor at Camp John Hay, Baguio Country Club and The Forest Lodge, and other hospitality and tourism establishments, as well as promoting Baguio as preferred tourist destination in the country.

The event was joined by members of the press, hotel’s guests and friends from The Manor at Camp John Hay, Baguio Country Club and The Forest Lodge. Benedicto Reyes Cabrera, better known as "BenCab", a multi-awarded Filipino artist, also joined the event.

After the special gathering, we headed to our beautiful rooms. The Manor at Camp John Hay is distinguished not just by its impressive architecture but by its cozy interior as well. Paneled walls and wooden furniture evoke a Filipino-colonial feel and emulate the atmosphere, the history and the fond memories of the real Baguio. Wooden shuttered doors open to outdoor patios with breathtaking view.

My room was located at the 4th floor. It’s spacious and clean, featuring elegant living room, dining area and comfy bedroom. It has two bathrooms with hot/cold shower, one is near the dining area and the other is inside the bedroom. There's a mini kitchen near the main door where you can find some goodies which are for sale. Also, foods inside the refrigerator are not for free.

Speaking of their bedroom, I had a great sleep. Even there’s no air-conditioner, every corner of the room is cool. The king size bed is cover with clean sheets paired with cotton like pillow. It has cable television, flat iron, and study table.

The room’s veranda is my favorite place, featuring the view of The Greenhouse, the newest addition to the Manor where one can savor delectable dishes while appreciating the crisp cool Baguio breeze and the majestic view of Cordillera’s mountain range.

I also like The Piano Bar, a cozy sitting lounge beside the fireplace at the lobby. This is the perfect place to drink  your favorite cocktail while enjoying the fine piano music.

Near The Piano Bar, I also found  The Manor Health Spa and Wellness Studio. I was not able to try it due to the limited time of our stay.

We took our breakfast and lunch in Le Chef at The Manor. It’s buffet! I really love the food. All ingredients are fresh especially the vegies and fruits. The restaurant offers a wide range of local and international dishes and fine wines.

The Manor at Camp John Hay also offers other services facilities such as room service, shuttle service, sightseeing tours, babysitting services (by arrangement), valet parking, car/van rental and taxi service.

This rainy season, take advantage The Manor at Camp John Hay's deal on their Superior Room Php3975/ night valid from June 16 to October 15.

Meanwhile, The Forest Lodge, another wonderful hotel in Camp John Hay that offers the best deal in Baguio. Room rates start at Php2,350 per night.

Overall, The Manor at Camp John Hay is the ideal place if you want total peace and relaxation. The hotel interior is classy and sophisticated especially the room and the Le Chef at The Manor. The staff are all very accommodating and friendly - I will definitely go back here!
