Cavinti Cave, also known as the Cavinti Underground River and Caves Complex, attracts adventurers with its enchanting beauty. As we delved into its depths, we were greeted by pristine stalactites and stalagmites. The cave, renowned as the second largest in the Philippines, offers routes suitable for beginners, allowing everyone to marvel at its hidden treasures. Inside, we encountered a small waterfall, adding to the allure of this captivating underground world. Each chamber and tunnel revealed rare calcite formations, including stalagmites, stalactites, straws, columns, and other mesmerizing speleothems, painting a picture of nature's artistry.
Our journey continued to the majestic Cavinti Falls, once known as Pagsanjan Falls, a crown jewel of Laguna's natural splendor. How to Get There
Reaching Mountain Lake Resort is a breeze, ensuring your journey is as seamless as your stay. If traveling by car from Manila, take the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) and exit at Calamba. From there, follow the signs leading to Los Baños and onwards to Cavinti until you reach the resort. It's recommend to use Google Maps and Waze.
For those opting for public transportation, buses bound for Sta. Cruz, Laguna, are readily available from Manila. Take a jeepney or tricycle and tell the driver that you will go to Mountain Lake Resort.
