Exciting news ahead! As we dive into Women’s Month celebrations, I wanted to share something special happening at Intramuros. They're rolling out a month-long lineup of activities just for you, highlighting the remarkable contributions of women everywhere.
Mark your calendars for March 8, 2024, because on that day, all entrances to Fort Santiago, Casa Manila Museum, and Baluarte de San Diego are completely free! It's their way of commemorating International Women's Day, and you're invited to be a part of it.
But that's not all. Alongside the free admission, there are numerous activities designed to engage and inspire. Imagine immersing yourself in a Mini Weaving Workshop led by the talented fashion designer, Lira Cadorna. Or perhaps you'd like to experience the vibrant culture of Intramuros through the enchanting "Dalaw at Sayaw" cultural show and contribute to the community with the Cleantramuros initiative every Sunday.
Additionally, mark your calendars for the Weave Your Way mini-weaving workshop by Hibla on March 16 and 17, held at the Museo de Intramuros, and don't miss out on the captivating cultural spectacle "Dalaw at Sayaw" at Fort Santiago on March 3, 10, 17, and 24.
Moreover, beyond Intramuros, the National Museum of the Philippines, also in Manila, is extending special privileges to women throughout the month. From dedicated days for girls and teens to seniors and mothers, solo-parents, and women of all ages, there's something for everyone to enjoy and appreciate.
So, let's make this Women’s Month one to remember, filled with empowerment, culture, and community. See you there!
