Before you pack your bags and book your flights, it's important to know the travel requirements and entry procedures to ensure a smooth and hassle-free journey. In this post, we'll guide you through the necessary steps to fast-track your entry to Japan and make the most of your trip.



Filipino Travel Requirements


As a Filipino traveler, you'll need to meet certain requirements before you can travel to Japan. These include:


Valid Passport - Your passport should be valid for at least six months from the date of entry to Japan.


Visa - Filipino citizens require a visa to enter Japan, which can be obtained by submitting the necessary documents to the Japanese embassy or consulate. There are different types of visas depending on your purpose of travel, such as tourist, business, or study visas.


Return Ticket - You must have a return or onward ticket to show proof of your intended departure from Japan.


Sufficient Funds - You should have enough funds to cover your stay in Japan, including accommodations, meals, and transportation.


Vaccination Certificate issued by a government of public institution, in Japanese or English, must include the following:

  a. Name of Passenger

  b. Date of Birth (If date of birth is not included in the certificate, it may still be considered valid if it contains your passport number or other information that can be used to verify that the vaccination certificate is yours.)

  c. Vaccine Name / Manufacturer

  d. Date of Vaccination

  e.  Number of Doses Administered - there should be three (3) doses


You can download the vaccination certificate through vaxcert.doh.gov.ph or apply for the yellow card BOQ at icv.boq.ph


Note: Guests who are unable to show a Vaccine Certificate with three (3) doses must present a negative RT-PCR test result, issued within 72 hours before departure. Use sample Certificate of Negative Testing for COVID-19 here.


Register for Visit Japan Web and  "Fast Track" procedures before entering Japan. Please get the two (2) separate QR codes generated upon registration, which shall be used during Japan Customs and Immigration. Once the Fast Track is approved, the page will turn blue. If the Fast Track is not approved, the page will remain pink. Download it or take a screenshot once your application is approved. Register within two weeks of your scheduled entry date to Japan.
