How to Get to Tokyo


To get from Narita Airport to Tokyo, you can take a train, bus, or car.


Train:

Keisei Skyliner: This is another fast and convenient option. It takes about 40-60 minutes to reach Ueno Station, depending on the train. The fare is around 2,400-2,800 yen. You can buy tickets at the airport or online in advance.


JR Sobu Line: This is the cheapest option, but also the slowest. It takes about 90-120 minutes to reach Tokyo Station, depending on the train. The fare is around 1,320 yen. You can buy tickets at the airport.


Bus:


Airport Limousine Bus: This is a convenient option if you have a lot of luggage. It takes about 60-120 minutes to reach Tokyo, depending on the destination. The fare is around 2,800-3,100 yen. You can buy tickets at the airport or online in advance.


Car:


Taxi: This is the most expensive option, but also the most convenient. It takes about 60-90 minutes to reach Tokyo, depending on traffic. The fare is around 20,000-30,000 yen.


Rental car: You can rent a car at the airport and drive to Tokyo, but it's not recommended because of traffic and parking difficulties.


Getting Around


Tokyo has one of the world's most extensive and efficient public transportation systems, making it easy to get around the city. The subway and train networks are extensive, with signs and announcements in English, and plenty of taxis and buses are available. To save money and time, consider getting a prepaid transport card like Suica or Pasmo. Buying a JR Pass is highly recommended if you are planning to go around Japan, including Tokyo.
