The NLEX-SLEX Connector Road is a P23 billion project under the Build! Build! Build! program and is expected to accommodate approximately 35,000 drivers per day. It is over the Philippine National Railway (PNR) right of way and is an elevated expressway with four lanes.


It begins at C3 Road in Caloocan and travels through Manila and España in the direction of PUP, Sta. Mesa connects Metro Manila to Stage 3 of Skyway and is eight kilometers long. When completed, this section will direct NLEX commuters to Manila's University Belt.


As of November 25, 2022, the construction works update was 66.79% for the overall completion, and for Section 1 of the Caloocan and Manila Area only, it was 86.42% complete, while the Section 2 Manila area was 24.29% complete. Nlex-Slex Connector Road It is anticipated that the multibillion-peso project will open in the third quarter of 2023. 


Last December 15, 2022, NLEX Corporation held an inclusive event called "Movie Night" to share a glimpse and update about the Nlex-Slex Connector Road project, where they hosted a road tour to highlight the progress of the Nlex-Slex Connector Road Project. It was like a mini field trip where they prepared activities and dinner and led us to watch the Avatar 2 screening at Sm Cinema's director's club. 


It was fun and terrific to see the progress of the NLEX-SLEX connector road project. Many Filipinos would definitely love and enjoy traveling to Manila once this is done. Many people would benefit from it, making their lives much more accessible, especially commuters.
