Clark International Airport is the Next Premier International Gateway of PH

Airports are essential to the economic growth of the country. They are hubs for tourism and transit providing services to airlines, moving passengers, and transporting cargo. It also provides local businesses with access to the global market. Filipino and international travelers are surely excited to return to their favorite airports.

Have you ever heard of the newest airport in the Philippines? Let me introduce Clark International Airport ( Filipino: Paliparang Pandaigdig ng Clark;), the next premier international gateway of the country. It's conveniently located in the Mabalacat - Angeles area within the Clark Freeport Zone in the province of Pampanga, which can be easily accessed by road from Subic (SCTEX), Metro Manila and North Luzon (NLEX).

The new airport serves both international and domestic flights. It features touchless passenger check-in counters, self-bag-drop systems, commercial spaces, all-gender restrooms and an exclusive lounge for overseas Filipino workers. The four-level terminal is in a 110,000 square meter area which can accommodate 8 million passengers per year.

Upon entering the airport, we immediately noticed its impressive interior design. The iconic roof structure was inspired by the longest Mountain  Range in the Philippines, the Sierra Madre. The new terminal is big and spacious and surrounded by breathtaking views of Mt Arayat of Pampanga and the Zambales Mountains.

Clark International Airport is an alternative to the main airport in Metro Manila (Ninoy Aquino International Airport) and services low-cost domestic and foreign flights. Among the airline carriers operating in the airport are AirAsia Philippines, Asiana Airlines, Cebu Pacific Air, Emirates,  Jetstar, Jeju Air, Jin Air, Philippine Airlines,  Scoot, Tiger Air, as well as one of the major middle east carriers—Qatar Airways.
