Direction To Cagbalete Island

The unspoiled natural resources and pristine clear water are some of the reasons why travelers are coming back to the beautiful island of Cagbalete. It's one of the jewels of  Quezon province, which located in the Lamon Bay fronting the Pacific Ocean.



One of the unique features of the island is when the white sands exposed during lowtide. It looks like a desert island. You can find the unique pattern of barren area of land.

Cagbalete is long stretch of white powdery beach with unique species of floras and faunas and rich marine life.


How to get to Cagbalete

There are buses in Cubao and Pasay that offer trips Manila to Quezon province. Bus lines like Jac Liner, Jam Transit, Lucena Liner and Ceres Transport offer trips to Lucena City. Buses leave almost every hour everyday which fare is around P200 to P230.  Travel to time is around 4 to 4 1/2 hour for a public transportation while 3-4 hours for a private car. 

Fron Lucena Grand Central Terminal or SM Lucena City, take a jeeney or van bound to Mauban. From Mauban market, take a walk to Pantalan port. 

From Pantalon port, there's a passenger boat waiting to bring you to Cagbalete. Fare is around P50. Travel time  is around 30 minutes to 45 minutes. Trip scheduled at 10AM and 4PM.

Another option to reach the island is to hire a boat. It costs around P1500 to P4000 depends on the number of passengers.

Resorts in Cagbalete

There are lots of resorts in the island that can accommodate you, friends and family if you want to stay overnight.  Villa Cleofas, Pansacola Beach Resort, MVT Sto. Nino and Dona Choleng are the famous resorts in Cagbalete. They offer from small cottages, medium cottages to big cottages

Camping is allowed in the island. Bring your own tent or hammock to save more money. For those who don't have tent, all the resorts are offering "tent for rent."

What to do in Cagbalete

Indulge into different activities such as swimming, snorkeling, fishing, bird watching, frisbee, beach volleyball and other exciting outdoor activities.

Travel tips

1. It's better to go early going to Mauban. Schedule trip is before 11AM
2. Bring your own tent to save money. (Tent rental fee is P200)
3. The island has no electricity but resorts have its own generator. Bring a powerbank!
4. Bring sunblock to protect your skin from the direct heat of the sun
5. It's better to swim before 9AM 
6. The alcohol drinks in the island is quiet expensive. Bring your own food as well
7. Don't forget to bring toiletries
