Due to the limited time, I want to go to a budget traveler's destination near the Metro that will help me to relax my mind from stress.
Five days of working with non stop stress, frustrating system, and unlimited backlogs, giving me acrimony. It's a mixed emotion, pushing me to quit. What a bad week! I decided to join an outdoor group who will travel to a secluded beach in the province of Batangas, hoping it will give me a peace of mind. The name of the place was Manuel Uy Resort.
It's a gloomy morning when we arrived in Manuel Uy Resort. The beach has no hotel nor structure that can accommodate us. It's undeveloped, untouched of technology and completely no accommodations.
Manuel Uy features a long-mile stretched white fine sand, blue clear waters and dotted with small trees. We found some small cottages and benches near the shoreline. Waves were calm which make it safe for travelers.
Tent is the only accommodation in the beach. You can bring hammock or air bed if you want stay for the whole day. Overnight camping is allowed. Bring enough food and water because there's only one store available in the area. Decent restroom is also available in the beach.
I'm a little bit sad because I saw some plastics floating on the water. It messed up the beach! As much I wanted to pick those garbage, we only have limited time because the organizers decided to bring us in the different resort. I looked up the sky, dark clouds, the smell of rain stronger and stronger.
If you can't sleep in the tent, there's a resort with room accommodations near Manuel Uy. It's known as Maldives of Batangas, the Stilts Calatagan Beach Resort.
Overall, Manuel Uy is a perfect destination for backpackers. It's unspoiled beach that will surely give you an exciting backpacking experience.
For a short period of time, I'm still in love with this place. The untouched beauty of the Manuel Uy somehow helped me to forget my problems. I'll definitely go here again.
