Manuel Uy Beach | A Great Beach Destination for Budget Travelers

Manuel Uy Beach in Batangas is one of the newest favorite beach destinations of budget travelers. It's located at  Brgy. Sta Ana in the town of Calatagan. This white beach can be reached via public or private land transportation. Travel time is 3-4 hours.

Manuel Uy Beach is a remote beach. No hotels nor any accommodation are available. You need to bring your own tent if you want to stay here for a long period of time or for overnight. No need to worry at night, there's electricity available in the area. If you are looking for a hotel resort, you can go to Stilts Calatagan Beach Resort which is near from Manuel Uy Beach.

According from Nikki Rei, a budget traveler, the beach features white sand and clear water. There are trees around the beach that can protect you from too much exposure to sunlight. Nikki also added, she don't find sea urchin and sea moss except beautiful starfish.

How to get to Manuel Uy Beach

  • From Pasay Rotonda (terminal is on the side of Kabayan Hotel and Mrt Taft), ride a van bound for Calatagan (P180).
  • From Calatagan, ride a tricycle and tell the driver to drop you off in Manuel Uy beach (P200/4 pax).
