Mt. Maynoba & Mt. Cayabu are newly-opened mountains in the province of Rizal. It's formally opened to the public last March 22, 2016.  Its jump off point is located in Brgy. Cayabu.

Dubbed as Maynoba Circuit, it's recommended for beginners in hiking as well mountaineers/ climbers looking for a dayhike. Mt. Maynoba and Mt. Cayabu feature a breath-taking view of grassland ridges, peaks in Sierra Madre and  nearby mountains like Mt. Batolusong.



The traverse trail of Mt. Maynoba will give you an amazing 8 waterfalls that surely makes your climb memorable. Take a dip into the cold water of  Maynoba Falls Natatagong Paraiso Falls, Lantay na Bato Falls, Katmon Falls, Gugulong na Bato Falls, Guintoan Falls, Manganiso Falls, and Pantay Falls. 



Permit from Tanay Tourism Office is a must if you will take overnight. You need to coordinate those people who are in-charged for the newest attraction in Rizal. You can contact Mr.  Romar L. Anito at 0929 765 8457 and Mr. Ronald Africano at 0908 433 0444 to secure permits and some travel guides and tips when traveling to Mt. Maynoba and Mt. Cayabu.

How to get to Mt Maynoba

From Starmall Shaw (Crossing), take a jeepney going to Tanay Rizal.Travel time is around 1 1/2 hrs. Drop off at Tanay Market and then take a jeepney going to Sampaloc. Tell the driver to drop off you at Batangasan. From there take a tricycle going to Brgy. Cayabu Travel time is 30 mins.

From Cubao (Gateway/ Puregold), take a jeepney going to Cogeo in. Drop off at Brgy. Sampaloc then ride a jeepney going to Batangasan. From there, ride a tricycle going to Brgy. Cayabu.

Budget/ Expenses

Shaw to Tanay Rizal via jeep- Php 70
Tanay to Brgy. Sampaloc via jeep- Php Php 24
Brgy. Sampaloc to Brgy Cayabu via tricycle - Php 100/4px

Tour guide fee for dayhike is Php 500 per 5 pax while overnight fee is Php 1250 per 5 pax. Registration fee is Php 20 per head.

Travel guide / Tips

1.  Don't forget to bring enough water
2. Protect your skin from the direct heat of the sun using sunblock, rashguard,  umbrella or hat
3. It's advisable to wear trekking shoes or close shoes. 
4. You save more money if you travel in a group.
5. Bring your own tent if you will take overnight.
6. Bring insect repellent. Don't worry, no limatic in the area.
